USER GUIDE

01. CREATE YOUR AGENT
Sign up with email or Google. Choose a codename — this is how other agents will find you.

02. ADD FRIENDS
Search by username and send a friend request. Once accepted, they show up in your friends list with live presence — you'll see who's online before you open a channel.

03. OPEN OR JOIN A CHANNEL
Start a private channel with a single friend, or create a squad channel for a full team. Others join via an access code, or by admin approval.

04. PUSH TO TALK
Hold the mic button to transmit, release to listen — or switch to toggle mode in settings if you'd rather tap once to start/stop. Only one agent can transmit per channel at a time, enforced server-side, so comms stay clean.

05. GO OFFLINE
No internet? Use Local Rooms — a LAN-only mode that discovers nearby devices via mDNS/Bonjour. No internet connection required.

06. LOCK IT DOWN
Enable App Lock in settings for a PIN gate on the app, with optional biometric unlock. Stays fully on-device.

IS NKOMO FREE TO USE?
Yes — NKOMO is currently free to use.
DOES IT WORK WITHOUT INTERNET?
Yes, via Local Rooms — a LAN-only mode for nearby devices that needs no internet connection. Regular channels still require a network connection to reach the signaling server.
IS MY VOICE DATA PRIVATE?
Channels are private or squad-based, joined only via access code or admin approval. Voice is transmitted via WebRTC, which encrypts media in transit by default.
CAN MULTIPLE AGENTS TALK AT ONCE?
No — only one agent can transmit per channel at a time, enforced server-side, to keep comms clean and orderly.
WHAT PLATFORMS ARE SUPPORTED?
NKOMO runs today in any modern web browser, on desktop or mobile — installable to your Home Screen on iOS. A direct Android APK download is also available above.
